Firma Cisco Systems, przyłączając się do inicjatywy watykańskiej "Rome Call for AI Ethics", podkreśla wagę odpowiedzialności oraz transparentności w projektowaniu i implementacji AI.

Środowiskiem, które coraz częściej skupia na sobie uwagę gigantów technologicznych, jest sztuczna inteligencja. Cisco Systems dołączyło do takich firm jak Microsoft i IBM, popierając zobowiązanie zainicjowane przez Watykan, które ma na celu promowanie etycznego stosowania AI.

Inicjatywa Rome Call

Dokument, znany jako „Rome Call for AI Ethics”, został zaprezentowany i podpisany 28 lutego 2020 roku, w obecności przedstawicieli wielu korporacji oraz instytucji naukowych i międzynarodowych. Podpisy pod dokumentem złożyli również Brad Smith z Microsoftu i John Kelly III z IBM, co podkreśla wagę inicjatywy. Chuck Robbins, dyrektor generalny Cisco Systems, podpisując dokument, spotkał się także prywatnie z papieżem Franciszkiem. Zobowiązanie to podkreśla kluczowe aspekty, takie jak przejrzystość,  odpowiedzialność, bezstronność i bezpieczeństwo w projektowaniu i wykorzystaniu AI.
