Google Poland has announced a change in the role of Country Manager. From the beginning of September, the role will be taken up by Dagmara Brzezińska, currently Vice-President of Sales at the InPost Group. She will replace Magdalena Kotlarczyk, who has led the company’s Polish branch since 2011 and concluded her tenure at the end of March.
The new head will be responsible for Google’s business operations in Poland and will join the management team of the local branch. According to Patrick Warnking, Google’s Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe, her experience is set to help the company support Polish businesses and organisations in utilising new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.
The appointment comes at a time when AI is becoming one of the main areas of technological and business development. For months, Google has been emphasising the importance of this technology for increasing productivity and the competitiveness of economies, and the Polish market is one of the company’s key growth areas in the region.
Dagmara Brzezińska brings nearly 25 years of managerial experience to Google. For the past 4.5 years, she has been responsible for sales at InPost, where she played a part in the development of one of Europe’s largest logistics companies. Previously, she held managerial positions at Allegro, where she was responsible for the development of the e-commerce platform’s commercial areas. Her CV also includes roles related to marketing and brand management at Unilever and L’Oréal.
The change in leadership concludes a process lasting several months to find a successor to Magdalena Kotlarczyk. Google was seeking someone with many years of management experience and a strong understanding of the new technologies and artificial intelligence markets. The choice of a manager with experience in e-commerce, marketing and logistics shows that the company is prioritising skills related to digital transformation and scaling the business in a rapidly changing environment.
